The People

In order to help, a Gort Town Team was rapidly assembled to help create a link between the enablers, Galway County Council and the community.

Gort Town Team : The Gort Town Teams will help to organise events, take community feedback, raise awareness of funding and help connect

Subgroups : These will be a vital element of realising the vision for Gort. Subgroups can be organized around a whole project, or a part of a project to help deliver on the plan e.g. proposals for sports, amenity, art, performance, travel, skate parks, public realm enhancements, smart towns etc

Galway County Council Regeneration team : These are the key enablers of the project and help to navigate the plan and help identify and supporting feasability and funding aspects

Community : The community of Gort and South Galway are the people that can help to make Gorgeous Gort a reality. The plan needs support from the people who live and work in the town, landowners, business owners and they will create the real impetus and momentum to help deilver Gort town enhancements
